5 Health Tips for National Women's Health & Fitness Day

September 28, 2021

On this National Women's Health and Fitness Day, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, we are sharing some important tips to keep you healthy.

1.) Stop smoking. This will greatly reduce your chances of developing lung and heart disease.

2.) Stay on top of your annual wellness checks. This will increase the chances of early detection of disease or chronic conditions.

3.) Get enough sleep. Besides fighting the signs of aging, regular sleep promotes mental alertness and helps keep your stress levels in check.

4.) Avoid the sun during 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. When you do have to be outside, wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or higher. A hat helps too.

5) Healthy eating and exercise are important. A lifelong habit of regular activity benefits your heart and helps you stay on top of your weight and your stress levels. Eating well should include incorporating plenty of fruits and vegetables.
