Bells Were Ringing, All Were Singing at Piedmont Crossing

December 17, 2015

Residents at Piedmont Crossing and other locals got in the holiday spirit during horse-drawn carriage rides and caroling that took place at the retirement community on Tuesday evening.

Piedmont Crossing Marketing Director Blair White said there was a “great turnout” for the event that may have been helped by beautiful weather and the above average temperatures in December.

Guests waited indoors by a large Christmas tree and received hot chocolate to drink before the carriage took them through the community. Several residents from Piedmont Crossing sang Christmas carols at various locations throughout the route.

“The carriage rides gave our residents and guests a unique holiday experience,” stated White. “Many attendees said they loved seeing the holiday lights and decoration, but for many others the evening brought back fond memories that reminded them of an old-fashioned Christmas.”
