Local Art Enthusiast to Present on Monet

Piedmont Crossing retirement community will welcome Carl R. Shatley to their campus on Tuesday, July 17 at 2pm for an exploration into the life and art of Claude Monet, a leader in one of the most sweeping revolutions in the history of art: Impressionism. The presentation will include a wide range of works created by Monet and delve into little known details of his life and work.

Presenter Carl Shatley holds a Master of Arts degree from Duke University in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Art from Greensboro College. He has lectured at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Greensboro College, Guilford Technical Community College, and Davidson County Community College.
