Piedmont Crossing to Host “America’s Shield- FBI”

Piedmont Crossing is thrilled to welcome presenter Carl Shatley on Tuesday, June 4 at 2pm for a presentation on the history and duties of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). The program will take place on the campus of the retirement community.
Shatley, a former FBI employee, will give guests a journey through the history of the FBI as he shares interesting facts about the role of the gigantic and far-reaching agency that protects the United States from internal and external threats. Now in its 111th year as the nation’s premier law enforcement and investigative agency, Shatley will explain the focus of the FBI as they concentrate on the front lines in the fight against international terrorists.
Shatley holds a Master of Arts degree from Duke University in History and Bachelor of Arts in art from Greensboro College.
