Piedmont Crossing to Host Scam Prevention Seminar

Piedmont Crossing is partnering with Edward Jones to host, “Scams- What you Should Know,” on Thursday, September 28 at 2pm on the campus of the retirement community.
Scams committed against older adults are on the rise. There is an increased sophistication and even an international scope of the fraudulent scams against the older population. The scam prevention and fraud awareness seminar is being presented by Kevin White and Anne Maus from Edward Jones and Melissa Varner and Mary Ellen Cone from Varner Accounting Solutions. The seminar will provide tips that will help seniors recognize and resist fraudulent offerings and possible scams.
