Piedmont Crossing Names New Administrator
April 1, 2016
Executive Director at Piedmont Crossing Doug Russell recently announced that Jan Briggs has been named Health Care Administrator/Community Mentor at the continuing care retirement community.
Briggs, formerly of Rockingham County, NC, began working in long-term care in 1993. She has worked in nursing management since 2004, and in 2005 earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree. Briggs accepted the Director of Nursing position at Piedmont Crossing in 2013. Most recently, Briggs successfully completed the Administrator-In-Training program, a rigorous process that is guided by the North Carolina Board of Nursing Home Administrators and ensures that all applicants have the proper training and experience prior to becoming licensed as a long term care administrator.
As the Health Care Administrator at Piedmont Crossing, Briggs will oversee day-to-day operations of the 114-bed health care center. “Jan has dedicated the last 22 years of her life serving older adults. Her background in nursing has laid a solid foundation and will serve her well in the role of Administrator. I am confident that Jan will continue embracing the household model and nurture the person-centered care that has become the hallmark of Piedmont Crossing, “ stated Russell.
