October 31, 2018

Piedmont Crossing will welcome speaker and author Laura Diehl to their campus for upcoming sessions that focus on coping and healing following tragedy. The session “Pain to Purpose” will be held Wednesday, November 7 at 2pm. The session “When Tragedy Strikes” will be held on Thursday, November 8 at 2pm and again at 6:30pm. All sessions will be held in Unity Place at Piedmont Crossing.

Ordained minister and award-winning author Laura Diehl along with her husband, Dave, founded GPS Hope (Grieving Parents Sharing Hope) after the death of their oldest daughter, Becca. GPS Hope is a not-for-profit dedicated to being a source of hope and inspiration for grieving parents. Diehl has written several books, including When Tragedy Strikes, My Grief Journey Coloring Book and Journal, Come Grieve Through Our Eyes, and Triple Crown Transformation.

“Pain to Purpose” will emphasis the importance of turning past events into stepping stones and strength. In this session, Diehl will share how her spirituality has helped her find purpose after several personal tragedies. Being forever changed after the loss of a child and how to find healing will be the focus of the session “When Tragedy Strikes.” Diehl will discuss how her life changed after the loss of her child and how she found a new “normal.”
