May 14, 2021

The United States Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office on Women’s Health (OWH) celebrates women by pledging an entire week for the health of the female population. National Women’s Health Week begins on Mother’s Day each year and provides an opportunity to encourage women to take care of their health while at the same time empowering them, aiming to help women make healthy and good lifestyle choices a priority.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have laid out list of preventive care suggestions to aid in building positive health habits for women including:

  • Talk with your Health Provider
  • Enjoy a Healthy and Balance Diet
  • Get Active
  • Prioritize Mental Health
