Piedmont Crossing to Honor Presidents Day with History Program

Piedmont Crossing retirement community in Thomasville invites the public to a presentation that will focus on the history of four American presidents and the contributions they made to help shape the nation. The program will take place on Monday, February 17 at 2pm on the campus of Piedmont Crossing, 100 Hedrick Drive in Thomasville.

The presentation will focus on former presidents George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, and Franklin Roosevelt. Most will agree that each of these presidents brought a special combination of experience and creativity that made them the right leader at the right time. Presenter Carl Shatley will present an in-depth look at each of their accomplishments, skills, and political ideologies.

Shatley is an accomplished educator, lecturer and artist who holds a Master of Arts degree from Duke University in History and Bachelor of Arts in Art degree from Greensboro College.
