Piedmont Crossing to Offer Resources for Older Adults

April 14, 2016

Answers to questions that seniors and their caregivers are seeking as well as helpful tips to keep older adults active, healthy, and independent will be the focus of the Health and Resource Fair at Piedmont Crossing on Wednesday, May 4 from 10am-1pm in Unity Place.

Admission is free and guests are welcome to come for all or a portion of the three hour time span. More than 20 service providers will have informational booths that explain their services, such as medical and non-medical in-home care, independent and assisted-living, legal and financial resources, medication management, personal safety, end-of-life planning, volunteer opportunities, fitness, recreational programming and more! In addition to the numerous vendors, several health screenings will be available at no cost.

"Our health fair will offer great resources for everyone, especially those 50 years of age and older," said Shaylyn Ladd, Piedmont Crossing Director of Public Relations and event organizer. "It’s unfortunate, but many attendees aren't aware of all the services available in our area. The health fair is a convenient way to obtain this information and get answers to questions all in one location. We are also excited to bring a variety of free health screenings to our guests. ”
