Piedmont Crossing Welcomes New Advisory Council Members

Piedmont Crossing, a continuing care retirement community in Thomasville, announced the appointment of two new members to their Advisory Council.

Piedmont Crossing leadership team and current Advisory Council members are pleased to welcome new members Christie Smith and Susan Reece, both business professionals in Davidson County.  

Smith is the Lexington Senior Center manager with Davidson County Senior Services.  She has been with the agency since September of 2012.  Smith is a graduate of the Ann Johnson Institute of Senior Center Management.  She currently serves as the marketing subcommittee chairperson for the North Carolina Senior Center Alliance.  In addition, she is a graduate of Leadership Davidson County and currently serves on the county’s Project Lazarus coalition and DC SPAN (Davidson County Stop Prescription Abuse Now). 

Reece serves as the supervisor of guest services and volunteer program at Novant Health- Thomasville Medical Center. Previously Reece was a business banker with NewBridge Bank In Thomasville. She received her bachelor’s degree in business from Catawba College.  Smith is active with the Thomasville Rotary Club and Thomasville Communities in Schools

These two members join a 10 member council under the chairmanship of the Rev. Darrell Sluder of Lexington.
